This distressed four drawer bow front chest is fantastic for storage use it as a bedside chest or use it in the dinning area for linens . ($435.00)

The next pick is truly fascinating.  This beautiful circa 1890 bust made from alabaster is a fabulous focal point in any room. It's all hand carved and full of lacy details. It's a true piece of art.

Scarlett's Top Five Worldly Picks

Now a days with the way technology is, we are able to just go on Google Earth and look at the world with a click of a button. I want to show you a flash back with the fresh items the we have included in our store. I recently came across my next top five picks thinking of the way everyone once looked at maps in the past!
If you're ever in that rut where you are just not to sure where to go on vacation, you could totally just spin one of these bad boys, close your eyes, and point your finger to a location. You could also have one of these in office. (Starting at $48.00)
If you want something a little smaller, perhaps these pocket size globes are such a cute pick! They also are in german text. ($9.00 each)

Are you tired of keeping your change in a ceramic pig? Maybe this could be the alternative! These interesting vintage finds were from the World Bank and, it is a cool way to save up for that trip that you could use the spinning globe for. ($38.00 each)

Decorating tip: we have these amazing old maps with awesome color and in great condition. Personally, I think this would look great on a wall or ceiling and all you need is wall paper paste and some maps.
 (Starting at $10.00)

Lastly, this pick is a vintage calander and all you need to do is spin it and it will change the date! This would be an ideal way to save money on buying a calendar for every year. Lets face it, it is definitely unusual. ($20.00 each)

Being that it is 2012, the way we look at the world through technology is fascinating, but there is something special about the way we looked at the Earth in the past. Can't wait to see you in the future come by Scarlett Scales Antiques to check out our new collection.
