The Chicago Botanic Garden Show is right around the corner

The Chicago show is rapidly approaching and I have recently flipped the shop around and brought in some fresh merchandise. Here is a set of 6 framed hand rendered shore birds circa 1870. The set is $295 they are really sweet.

Burlap botanicals $28 each

Antique Birdcages and stands

Set of 3 nesting tables gold Florentine

The Chicago Botanic Garden Show is right around the corner. I have been pricing and packing things to take up there already. It takes a while to get the booth thought out and planned so that the truck will get loaded properly. This show is always a beauty and I am looking forward to it. I will be preparing for it for the next few weeks and will show you some of my favorite pieces I will be taking to it in future posts
Sincerely,
Scarlett

shop shuffle on a pretty Saturday

Moving furniture is one of my daily exercises. It seems like I move at least one piece of furniture every day. Now this is not exclusive to being at the shop. This happens at home, friend's homes, relative's homes, just about anywhere. If you ever want to go somewhere with me chances are you might have to move a piece of furniture, or maybe just a lamp, to even get into my car. So it is not shocking at all that it is a nice sunny day today and I am moving furniture. I don't know where having a shop and doing design work stops and where my obsession begins. I do know this, I have stuff everywhere and I am constantly moving it! So today I moved some pieces around in the back room at the shop and as many of you know my shop is very small so when you want to move one thing here, chances are you are going to move at least a dozen. While I was shuffling things around I snapped some pictures of what is in the shop right now.

Thanks for looking
Sincerely,
Scarlett

Something's up my sleeve

As many of you know my shop is in an adorable old 1900's shotgun house. It is only 600 square feet. I love the little building but it can sometimes present a challenge from a space perspective. So a few years ago I introduced jewelry into the backroom from Lizzy Couture Jewelry. It has been a very popular move. So this last time at market I decided to bring in some clothes to the shop. Both of these items can be squeezed into a small area. I have started with some fun tops and have done really well with them so far. I am showing you some of the pieces that just came in yesterday...
