The bearded gentleman from Brimfield

Check out this painting of a bearded gentleman I found in Brimfield. He is so handsome. Also he has the most gorgeous eyelashes on a painting I have ever seen! And lets face it, his gilt frame isn't half bad.
This is a vignette my friend Daniel put together at the shop. I, as you all know by now, am crazy about multiples so he put all my battery jars and aqua glass together. There are many many pieces of this glass. I was so wasted tired after Brimfield I was running out of steam and so Daniel reworked my store for me.Thanks Daniel!!!
These are old sauce bottles dug from privies in England.
And these cuties are ink bottles dug from old privies in England. The more the merrier!
This is a fabulous dome top trunk covered in old wallpaper. I bought it from a couple who had cleaned out an estate with lots of early pieces. They had some old feather-edge plates that I should have bought. Oh well, we can't but it all. Can we??

I am still going to post pictures from Brimfield. I just have to get the pictures from Debbie, she has all our Brimfield pictures and videos on her camera. They are coming I promise!
Sincerely,
Scarlett

Back from Brimfield

I am finally back from Brimfield and my truck just arrived this afternoon. My dad and brother had the pleasure of driving it home. So tomorrow we have the fun of unloading it. We are planning a huge unloading sale this Saturday and Sunday in the parking lot at our shop. There are so many fun and exciting finds on the truck you all are going to love! We have stocked it full of everything from lucite, oil paintings, sterling silver, gilt frames, architectural, ironstsone, mother of pearl, silverplate, books and mirrors. Basically you name it and there is a good chance it is on the truck. We have some wonderful videos that we made during the whole Brimfield week. Hopefully I will get them posted in the next few days. We met some really fun people and had a blast. Brimfield is a lot of fun but is also literally exhausting. I will post pictures soon.
Sincerely,
Scarlett

Good Stuff Displayed Bad

On a recent shopping trip this was one image that made me laugh. Sometimes I can totally relate to this sign. It seems like at the shop there are times when I have it looking great and then there are those times when the table in a wonderful display sells and suddenly everything is on the floor and spills onto any open surface that surrounds it. So when I saw this guy's sign in his booth I thought..... I know that feeling.
My friend Debbie apparently didn't care weather it was displayed good or bad. She loves digging through little parts and pieces like this. She did find some neat little religious charms and some vintage rhinestone earrings with pink stones on them. They are so cute.

This tackle box really made me laugh. I love it. I have a real passion for hens and chicks. Especially when they are planted in something quirky like this. Once on the Hwy 127 sale in Kentucky I purchased an old electric skillet full of hens and chicks. The old man I bought it from was so cute. He had actually planted them in it years ago. Unfortunately I do not have a very green thumb and I let them get too much water and they didn't live long at my house. Otherwise I would have scooped up this tackle box full of them. I love it. Well enough blogging for now I have to start a list of what is going on the truck for Brimfield we start loading on Thursday. I can't wait to get up there!
Sincerely,
Scarlett
