See you in Septemeber.....Brimfield

Attention July Brimfield attendees:
Sorry that we are not there! We've had waaay to much going on to brave the 1000+ mile journey to Brimfield this July. We've opened a new GIANT store that is requiring lots of our attention with restocking and redecorating often. Also we are moving out of all of our storage units in hopes of having all of our treasures under one roof.
We really hated to miss this show but it is going to make September's Brimfield that much better. Last year's July Brimfield was a memorable one for sure. Here's a recap. We FLEW into Concord, NH rented a car and headed to Cape Cod. We stayed there for several days and went to Martha's Vineyard where we rented another car, well jeep, and then drove all around the island. This is where I fell in love with the Camp Houses of Martha's Vineyard. I've dedicated a board on pinterest to all of the things I love about Martha's Vineyard. We shopped around and we loved Beetlebung and Nochi. We didn't have any celebrity sightings on the island but we knew it was possible. So we did get to have a little fun before all the work ahead in Brimfield. We eventually left Cape Cod and picked up our truck where we had left it with Louie's good friend Ryan. From there we headed on to Brimfield loading all the fresh treasures we had amassed over our time on "vacation". We had a great show that week after our "vacation" and we did get a celebrity sighting after all we just had to be working in our booth for it to happen. We were thrilled to sell some of our wares to Diane Keaton.
After reminiscing about last years July Brimfield I'm even more sad that we had to skip this time.
That means more fresh picks for the September show. So prepare your cars, bring your trailers, be ready to shop from us in September.
Sincerely,
Scarlett

Five Things: Scarlett's Picks

It's time again for Scarlett's top picks of the week!

We had a busy weekend at Scarlett Scales Antiques and finally saw some rain. We participated in Friday's Franklin Art Scene, the downtown Franklin art crawl that draws hundreds to our area each month! Scales Antiques hosted LIZZY Couture, a vintage jewelry line that has been seen on the arms and wrists of celebrities like Taylor Swift, Demi Lovato and more. We had a great turn out and everyone loved Beth's collection!

We also have some new finds to add to your collection. From a Victorian inspired accessory to spice up your wardrobe to an old fashioned typewriter for a quirky office accent, here's our top picks for this week:

[typewriter]

Five Things: Scarlett's Picks

[Sunburst mirrors]

Scarlett Scales Antiques recently moved out of the only existing shotgun-style shack in downtown Franklin, Tenn., and into another historic home [six times the size!] around the corner.

With more than ten rooms overflowing with an eclectic--and rotating--mix of new and vintage items, we thought it'd be cool to start a "Five Things" post. Each week, we'll show you our favorite items in the store. At the end of each post you will find more information about each item, including materials and price. Enjoy!
